In addition to our traditional Mini-Prix class, this year we are introduction The CVSJA Team Competition.
CVSJA Team Final
At the 2024 CVSJA Mini Prix we are introducing a team competition. Teams will consist of 3 riders in any division. Each rider will declare which class they would like to be counted for their team. Each rider will jump in a Power and Speed Class (Table II, Section 2c) at the same height as their declared division except for Team Cross Rail class that will be optimum time.
Rider’s points from the Team class will be their first score. Rider’s Mini-Prix Class at the Team Class Height will be their second score in the team competition. If you are showing at multiple heights for the Mini-Prix, choose which division/height you would like to count for your team entry. A team can be a mix of riders in any divisions.
Table II, Section 2c
This is a power and speed class. The first half is like the first round of 2a/b, you must have power to go clear. If you are clear in the power, CONTINUE, DON’T STOP, KEEP GOING and ride the speed (jump-off) immediately. If you have any faults in the power (rail/stop/time) you will be buzzed out before the speed half.
Team Scoring
The teams will be ranked based on points. Each rider will receive one score from a Team Class and a second score from the Mini-Prix Class at the same height. This provides 6 scores for each team. If a rider is eliminated, they will receive a score of 0, but it will not disqualify the team. Points are based on the base class points:
1st - 10
2nd – 6
3rd – 4
4th – 2
5th – 1
6th - 0.5
Ties will be broken by the team’s cumulative closest to the optimum time in the Mini-Prix Class Qualifier portion.
How to Enter
Team entries close with pre-entries. Make sure to choose the team class on your entry AND have one person fill out the TEAM FORM on the website. If you are interested in joining a team but need help finding one, please post on the CVSJA Facebook page, talk to other exhibitors at the show October 13th, or email Secretary@cvsja.com.
Only riders on a team may enter the team class. This class will NOT count toward year end points.
The entry fee is $50.
Awards
Each Team Class will award ribbons for places 1-6.
The top 3 teams will receive ribbons and prize money. The prize money is determined by a $15 addback from the Team Class entry fee. It will be distributed 50% to the first-place team, 30% to the second-place team, and 20% to the third-place team.
